Unfortunately, Starbreeze was unable to deliver a "quality" product, given that the game did not meet the standards of Skybound Entertainment. ![]() Skybound's statement revealed that it has worked hard with Starbreeze Studios to resolve the plethora of issues found in Overkill's The Walking Dead. ![]() This was quickly disputed by Starbreeze Studios saying that the console version of Overkill's The Walking Dead is not canceled but is "purely postponed whilst development is on-going." Now, Skybound Entertainment, the owner of The Walking Dead license, puts the issue to rest by revealing that Overkill's The Walking Dead is now officially canceled for consoles and that support for the PC version of the game will be discontinued. Several days ago, conflicting reports surfaced online that the console version of the game was apparently canceled. Since then, the possibility of the game's launch to the PS4 and Xbox One became increasingly unlikely as time went by. Last month, publisher Starbreeze Studios announced that the console version of Overkill's The Walking Deadis postponed indefinitely due to the fact that the game's PC release performed poorly.
